The Monarch family has been the cornerstone of the binocular line-up from Nikon for years. Nikon now offers the Monarch X line, which improves on a binocular that arguably needed no improvement. The new Monarch X offers a host of new features sure to earn it a spot in the venerable Monarch line. The new features include an advanced dielectric high-reflective multi-layer prism coating which was previously only available in Nikon's flagship EDG line. The name of the game in binoculars is passing as much available light as possible to the user's eye. In the common hunting times of dawn and duck, available light is limited, so the new coatings and the large 45mm objective lenses make the best of the situation. The Monarch X uses a very rigid open-frame design, a protective rubber coating with thumb contours, a large center focus knob, and tips the scales at a light 25.7 ounces. All of these features make the Monarch X very comfortable to hold for long periods of time, and the rubber click-stop eye cups are very easy on your face. Adding to the impressive list of features of the Monarch X, Nikon gave them O-ring seals to make them water proof, and nitrogen purged them to make them fog proof. When you combine all of the features and Nikon's incredible 25 year No-Fault Warranty, it makes the new Monarch X hard to beat!

A new kid on the block. The NEW Monarch X series is a new release from our trusty friends at Nikon. Introducing new features such as half powers, dual hinge design, strengthened eye cups, new glass coatings, and lighter weight body materials, the new models are sure to be a pleaser. Only time will tell. These binos have some big shoes to fill after being announced as the official replacement to the original Nikon Monarch series that ruled the optics world for over six years. An average price for the 10.5x45 MX will set you back nearly $600. Thats a small price to pay for unmatched quality in its field. Lets not forget what has been a Nikon legend for years gone by, the 25 year NO FAULT warranty. Thats right! NO FAULT! All in all, these binos are the best you can do for under a thousand dollars. Still beating out the others, still the best. NIKON!!
